Our neighborhood kids go to Monocacy Elementary School in Frederick, MD. It’s a diverse school with many different needs– thank heavens they have an active and enthusiastic PTA who is constantly thinking up new and fun things for the community to do to support these wonderful kids and help see that they have the opportunities and support they need to be all they can be.
On Saturday, April 25th at 8:30 A.M., MES will host the GATOR DASH! A spin-off of the popular Color Run, this event promises to be a whale of a good time for everyone who chooses to run, walk, hop, skip or jump the course…and even for those who just want to watch! Pre-registration is available here. There’s a button for Students and Non-Students– all are welcome.) You can also register that day at 8:00.
To make the morning even more fun– and add to the proceeds from the event– (half goes to fund free PTA-sponsored events for students and their families; half goes to the Blessings in a Backpack program that sends nutritious, easy-to-prepare food home with students who may not have enough to eat over the weekend)– the Gator Dash will also feature a Vendor Fair.
That’s where Flaxie Packs comes in! In addition to our table fee, we’ll be donating 20% of our microwavable heating pad sales to the MES PTA.
