Each Tuesday (or Wednesday if it’s been “that kind of a week”), we blog about the “People Behind the Packs.” We want to introduce you to the members of our family and our other partners, all of whom are working together to bring you what we hope is the best product of its kind on the market! – See more at: http://www.flaxiepacks.com/meet-gene-wanda-of-purity-seed/#sthash.myBuyifF.dpuf

Up in the mountains in the middle of Nowhere lives one of my favorite families. Katie and Ryan Main have two children, a half a dozen dogs (at last count) and an open, welcoming home where there always seem to be room for one more.

Working remotely from her mountaintop retreat in between making PBJs for her kids and their pals and running a successful photography business, Katie designed www.flaxiepacks.com on a virtual shoestring. She’s tireless, devoted and full of life and humor– I couldn’t be happier to have her within our circle of friends and invaluable partners.

P.S. Check out her photography at Katie Main Photo. According to Katie, “Photography has always been one of my favorite art forms. I had the opportunity to pursue this love at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I also studied painting, water color, printmaking and design. After graduation, I set the camera down for a while and focused mainly on graphic design. Today, I divide my time between a busy family life and my own business, where I focus on photography and freelance graphic design…a perfect combination for me!”
