There’s something about an unexpectedly cool, blue-skied summer day that makes me want to just get in the car and drive.
With the price of gas, though, I enjoy these trips a little more when I’m actually going some place. So, why not Harrisburg, PA?
Why Harrisburg, you ask?
Well, Flaxie Packs has been accepted into the Pennsylvania Christmas & Gift show. Cool, huh? From December 3-10, 2014, this top-notch, juried craft and gift show will be at the Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. With nearly one million square feet of indoor floor space, the complex is one of the premier event locations in Pennsylvania– and the perfect host for one of the largest and most renowned holiday shopping events in the country. In its 31st year, the PA Christmas and Gift Show will feature more than 500 vendors, Santa, trains, carolers, choral groups and food– did I mention food? Lots and lots of food!
So maybe we are a bit far away from the actual “do,” but if there’s one thing we like to be it’s prepared. Always. We’re the Boy Scouts like that. So off we went.
A very easy drive from Frederick– maybe an hour and fifteen of simple driving on Rt. 15, a left, a right and another left and BOOM! There. And what a building! E-normous. And our booth assignment– Booth No. 173, looks like a great location near the seating area and the package check. (Oh yeah– they’ll hold your packages while you shop…how nice is that?)
So if you live in the quad-state area, why not make a day of it? We’d love to see you! Start making plans now…it’s never too early!
