Every Tuesday– or Wednesday if it’s been “that kind of week” (and this week qualifies)– we blog about the “People Behind the Packs.” We want to introduce you to the members of our family and our other partners, all of whom are working together to bring you what we hope is the best product of its kind on the market.
Mary Jane Tabler, owner of Thomas Scott Salon and Spa in Frederick, MD, is one of the kindest, most supportive people I’ve ever known. In addition, she’s incredibly business-savvy. In 1984, she parlayed a career behind the chair into a salon business of her own called “Headlines.” By the 1990s, she had tripled in size, moved into her current location, and added spa offerings to her menu of services— eventually branding herself as Thomas Scott Salon and Spa. Thanks to a focus on innovation and customer service, Mary Jane and her team have won dozens of industry and community awards, including Redken Salon of the Year, Master Entrepreneur and Best of Frederick.
Flaxie Packs is delighted to announce a partnership with Thomas Scott Salon and Spa starting this fall. Mary Jane has commissioned a specially-sized Flaxie Pack to be made in two unique fabric patterns that will be sold exclusively at TSSS. Just like our Original Flaxie Packs, all these custom-made products will be double-sewn of 100% cotton designer textiles, double-stitched and generously filled with ONLY farm-fresh flax seed– perfect for pampering yourself, or giving as a gift that says “You deserve a little luxury.”
Our goal is to have these luxurious, custom-made Flaxie Packs ready for Thomas Scott Salon and Spa’s 30th anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 28th! Details to come.
