Little Things Mean a Lot

meg1One thing I know for sure: every person has the power to make every day a little richer, and it doesn’t take a lot of effort.

What it does take is “mindfulness.” For me, that means paying “mind” to what relaxes me and feeds my soul.

Things like…

… the aroma of homemade chicken soup…

….Face Time with my grandkids…

…a warm oatmeal cookie with a cup of ginger tea…

…the familiar softness of an old flannel nightgown.

…a bunch of daffodils or a field of black-eyed Susans

…a warm Flaxie Pack™ between my shoulder blades after a long day at the computer.

…the sight of my own front door after a long trip.

It has been a long winter, no doubt—but those long evening were made much more bearable with a dose of mindfulness, and by observing my own personal relaxation routine. All it took was my favorite chair, a soft fleece blanket, an episode of Game of Thrones (from Season I, II or III—I had a lot to catch up on!)and a Flaxie Pack, warmed to perfection.

Try to find one thing today that feeds your soul and makes you unreasonably happy. What it turns out to be may surprise you! (Subliminal suggestion: Try a Flaxie Pack!)
