My dentist, Dr. Little, who is also a friend and Flaxie Packs customer, told me a story during my semi-annual check-up last week that would have made me smile had it been physically possible. (All those instruments kind of get in the way, right?)
Seems another patient had been in to the office earlier with severe jaw pain from TMJ and/or nighttime tooth-grinding. While my dentist and the patient were working on a longer term solution, the patient told her that– in the meantime– she was OK because she getting relief from this thing called a “Flaxie Pack.” Evidently, the moist warmth was helping to relieve her tight jaw muscles and helping her deal with the discomfort.
These are the stories that help keep us going, especially at this super-busy time of year. It just means a lot to know that our products are out there, giving people comfort and relief when they need it.
So I’m mot sure what size this lady was using, as any of our sizes would work just fine…that said, a Flaxie Small (4.5 x 11 inches) would be ideal to tuck against that jaw area. Moral of this story: If you or someone you know suffers from jaw discomfort, see your dentist! They can really help. And in the meantime, get yourself a Flaxie Small– you’ll feel a whole lot better!
